"A ship is becalmed; hunger and thirst drive the crew mad; like the wrath of God a cyclone destroys the galleon, leaving only two survivors.
A man and a boy are cast up on a weird, godless shore. No life exists there beyond a jungle of dreadful, flesh-eating plants. Desperately the two survivors trek through the jungle towards a great, fiery range of mountains.
